We produce seven different catalogues per year together with a January Sale issue, they will come out at seven week intervals. We will as usual give a delightful mix of material in each catalogue and back this up with the excellent customer service you would want and expect. Goods will be carefully packaged and dispatched within seven working days of receiving your order.

Lithographed on cartridge paper, 6.25" x 12", to a scale of one-quarter of an inch to one foot. Showing a semi-detailed side elevation drawing of the engine with major dimensions and brief specifications. Very nice. Fine condition.

First Edition in this form, being reprinted from a long series of articles in The Railway Magazine from 1915 to 1927. 9" x 6", cloth boards in a generally fine condition wrapper. 12 + 152 pages + (24) pages with 48 photos. A very detailed and informative work. Although it is part of a set this is a complete book on its own. Ottley 3785. Very fine condition.

First Edition. 9.25" x 6.25", cloth boards in a dust wrapper which has a clear plastic cover that has been sellotaped to the inside covers, with the resulting browning with age. 164 pages with 70 photos on plates and 53 tables in text. An account of the type with many detailed recorded train workings. Ottley 10439. Other than stated above, generally fine condition.

Fine condition.
247-2334. American Railway. An early locomotive-engine, "The Campbell", built 1837. A detailed perspective drawing with realistic shading, on a cutting extracted from an unknown technical periodical maybe circa 1910. 3.5" x 4.25". Showing a 4-4-0 engine in a left side, rear view. This is laid down on card 10" x 8". Although not marked as such these came sometime from the archives of E.L. Ahrons, the locomotive engineer. No further information is given about the locomotives illustrated in these but it is believed that all were built in Britain and intended for work on the North American Continent. There is some slight foxing on the card in places but all is in generally fine condition.

The journal of the Association, covering the Proceedings, Papers and Discussion, relating to the technical aspects of railway civil engineering. In particular to the making and maintenance of permanent way, and development of equipment used in this. These volumes have lengthy reports on Impact and Bridge Stresses, Wood Bridges and Trestles, Track, Rail, Roadway and Ballast, Iron and Steel Structures, Yards and Terminals, etcetera. Very fine condition.

For the fiscal year ending 30th June 1900. 9.25" x 6", printed paper cover. 48 pages + a fold-out map, 17.5" x 35.5", engraved by the American Bank Note Company, New York, showing the whole system in colour. A full report is given with the accounts and statements of assets. etcetera. An excellent early item from this important railway. In generally fine condition.

247-2342. The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company. Certificate of Ten Shares of Common Capital Stock, at par value of One Hundred Dollars each. Issued in March 1958, fully signed by all required and impressed with the Company Seal. 7.5" x 11.5", blue and black on white quality paper, engraved in an ornate style with a decorative border by the "International Bank Note Co., New York." Incorporating an attractive vignette showing an early passenger train hauled by a four-wheeled vertical boiler locomotive engine with an open truck loaded with wooden barrels and two passenger carriages. The Certificate has been "Cancelled August 1958" by rubber stamping and with three holes punched in two signatures. Most impressive. Very fine condition.

Generally fine condition.
247-2347. The Blackpool Electric Tramways (South) Limited. 9 Central Beach Parade, Blackpool. Large Headed Letter. 11.75" x 8.25", blue on white and incorporating three vignettes, each showing a street scene with a tramcar and passengers. Written with a typed letter in 1901, regarding the likely success of a new issue Preference Shares and Debenture Stock in the Company. An excellent early heading. Starting to split at some folds but no loss of content.
