The new road was to cross over the River Cheswold. This is an archive copy with outlined border. Rolled. Generally fine condition.

Showing part of the Caledonian Road where it crosses the G.N.R. main line and the Board School at Wellington Road. Rolled. Slight discolouration but generally fine condition.
246-1937. Great Northern Railway. Widening at Three Counties Station. In Parliamentary Session 1887. Ordnance Survey Map N. E. No. 46, with printed title. 17" x 22", on substantial paper, scale one inch to one mile, with the proposal near to Hitchin drawn in. This is part of the official documentation required to be submitted by the railway company when seeking a Bill in Parliament to construct the work. This and those following are rolled without creases, and in very fine condition.

Handbill Timetable. 12.5" x 6.75", 2 sides, blue on white. Giving a description of the way to the Kensington Gardens and Museums, with a brief account of what will be seen there. Including a map. Nice piece. Generally fine condition.

Colour frontage plate from an original painting + 168 pages illustrated by 69 drawings from pen and ink sketches and 14 maps in text + (104) pages with photogravure pictures. Map of the county on inside covers. A detailed historical guide to the area of Cornwall. (I suppose if there are such things as "classics" in the world of railway books, then this must rate somewhere near the top of the list. It is most interesting and the illustrations are very attractive. A nice book to have on your shelves. Mary). There is some fraying to the bottom of the spine but it is otherwise only a lightly used copy.
