245-1603. Midland Railway Locomotive No. 999. Colour Illustration, from an original painting in the style of F. Moore. Probably lithographed by Alf Cooke, Leeds. circa 1910s. Picture size 4.25" x 7.5", laid down on card, overall size 6.25" x 10". Showing the express 4-4-0 engine and six wheel tender. This and that following are most suited for being framed for display, indeed illustrations of this type have been used to enhance the interior of passenger carriage compartments during the first half of the twentieth century. Very nice, bright picture in very fine condition.

An horrendous happening in which a four-coach electric passenger train running under clear signals collided with the rear of a 42-wagon steam freight train. Very fine condition.

South Coast Railways series. 9.5" x 6.75", pictorial boards. 96 pages with 120 photos with long descriptions and some reproductions and several maps. (Margate has one of the best beaches in this area with clean soft sand and a 'blue flag' commendation. Amazingly the local council is now beginning to recognise that which everyone else has known for years, i.e. the beach is almost the only redeeming feature Margate has left and so the regeneration process has started - slowly; very slowly. Meanwhile here in Ramsgate we are to have a faster train service to London to get away from it all. Mary.) Very fine condition.

All bound in publishers maroon cloth boards with gilt title on spine. 8.75" x 5.75" and from volume 13, 9.75" x 7.5", each with title page and annual index, except that in volume 2 it is a typed replica. In all a total of 5096 pages illustrated by very many photos and drawings. Concerned with all aspects of model making in the smaller scales, from gauge 00 upward, and giving much information on prototype railways and trains. All is in very fine condition.
