Covers all of England, Scotland and Wales. Top right corner has been cut off title page otherwise very fine condition.

First edition in this form being reprinted from a long series of articles in The Railway Magazine from 1915 to 1927. 9" x 6", cloth boards in a very fine condition wrapper. 10 + 113 pages + (24) pages with 48 photos. A very detailed and informative record of the period by this famous locomotive engineer author. These are complete books in their own right, now quite hard to come by. Ottley 3785. An account of some 70 named-trains is given. This edition is completely different in content to those published later and in my view is more informative. Ottley 2778.

Stunning art, a really nice piece in very fine condition.
245-1182. The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company. Certificate for less than 100 Shares of Common Capital Stock, written for Fifty Shares of One Hundred Dollars each. Issued in June 1952, signed by all required parties. 7.25" x 11.25", light green and black on white, engraved in an ornate style with a decorative border on quality paper, by the "International Bank Note Co., New York." Incorporating an attractive vignette showing a very early passenger train hauled by a four-wheeled vertical boiler locomotive engine. The Certificate has been "Cancelled June 1958" by rubber stamp and holes punched in signatures. Most impressive. Very fine condition.

Printed Letter to Shareholder, stating that there was an error made in the amount of the Company Stock, as shown in The Agreement with the Grand Trunk Railway Company.
