Publicity to the opening of the combined service by the two railways from Germany via Lubeck, Kobenhavn, Helsingoe, and Malmo, Halsingborg, to Oslo and Stockholm. The book introduction is by H.C. Peebolm, Bundesminister fur Verkehr, and this copy has a manuscript ink personal dedication from the German Minister of Works to C.E.R. Sherrington a leading authority on railway matters. Some fading to binding but content in fine condition.

243-0177. Elie Station, Canada. Photographic Postcard. By Velox, Canada. Contemporary with the railway being constructed. 3.25" x 5.5". Showing the station house under construction, a two storey building which has not yet had the pitch roof tiled, and has men at work on a scaffolding. The railway is a single track with a siding, some other newly constructed houses can be seen in the background. The card has not been posted but it is written on the correspondence side: "This is a picture of Elie Station that George built, they have not started on the platform you will notice, that is the last chore. Rebeca." Important history, very scarce piece. Showing slight age grubbiness but will please.

243-0181. Erie Railroad Company. Certificate of Common Stock without par value, written for Ten non-Assessable Shares. Issued in December 1952, signed by all concerned parties. 8" x 12", 2 sides. Engraved in an ornate style in green and black on white quality paper by the "American Bank Note Company." Incorporating a vignette showing the Company Insignia with a laurel surround and a mythological god and goddess in the Greek style on either side. Cancelled by perforated punch in January 1953, with further holes neatly punched in the signatures. A very nice piece. Worthy of framing for display. Very fine condition.
