234-4308. Hammersmith and City Railway. Bridge over the Bromley Road. Ends of Girders to be used. Manuscript Drawing, made for the construction of the railway. Circa 1862. This is the master drawing from which printed copies were made, it is rubber stamped "C. Rummens, Bishopsgate, London." who were the Agent for the Railway Company. 15" x 13.5", on linen backed cartridge paper. Ink and colour wash to a scale of two feet to one inch. Showing detailed elevation views of a small modification in the main carrying girders of the bridge. This minor alteration to the design was made before it was constructed. The railway opened on the 13th June 1864, the roadway crossed is now called Goldhawk Road. Very nice history. Rolled. Very fine condition.

234-4327. Internation Mercantile Marine Company. Certificate for Ten Shares of Common Capital Stock of One-Hundred Dollars each. Issued in March 1920. Signed by all parties, and impressed by the issuing agent in Amsterdam. 8" x 12", lithographed in black and blue on white quality paper in an ornate style by the American Bank Note Co., New York. Incorporating an attractive vignette showing a four funnel passenger steam ship being manoeuvred in a busy harbour by steam tugs, with other boats and barges around. Another showing a sea maiden holding a navigational device. The Certificate has been "Cancelled by perforation punch" in 1929. It is a most pleasing piece that is suited for display in a glazed frame, or similar. Very fine condition.
