From a photographic illustration, in the series "Locomotives de l'Est", card No. 107, November 1943. This and those following show the express locomotive standing in a working environment, and give brief details and major specifications on the verso. This shown waiting at Paris-Est. Only short printing runs were made during this period so that all of these are quite hard to come by, none are posted and all are in generally very fine condition.

Full French text. An Express through corridor carriage.
234-4180. Chemins de fer Paris-Lyon-Mediterranee, Locomotive No. 1801. Illustrated Postcard. F. Fleury, Paris. From circa 1910s. "Les Locomotives (P-L-M)" series, with red captions. Card No. 55. 3.52 x 5.5". The "Bourbonnais" type 0-6-0 was built around 1870. For many years most of this companys engines carried the distinctive saddle type sand box mounted on the boiler ahead or behind the steam dome, with the long curving gravity feed pipes it must have been difficult to keep the sand running free and not easy for the fireman to fill the box. This and those following are not posted and in fine condition.

Signed as required and impressed with the railway Company Seal, and including an embossed British Revenue Stamp for Three Shillings & Nine Pence. 17.5" x 11", 4 sides, printed in a decorative style in light blue on white. With Conditions given. The Ownership of the Debenture has changed some ten times but has seemingly not been cancelled. A pleasing piece in fine condition.
