233-3545. Excursion to Newmarket, Bury St. Edmunds, Waterbeach, Ely, Littleport, Downham, and King's Lynn. 9th April 1961. Handbill Timetable. (A. 25). 9.75" x 6", 2 sides, green on cream. Giving times and fares from many North London and north of London stations. It was the practice for the Booking Office staff to take a quantity of handbills, punch a hole through the top edge and thread a loop of string so that the bills could be hung on a nail in the station foyer, passengers would then pull off copies of the bill that interested them. The result was that handbills are often found with snag at the top edge, as is this one, without any loss of content.
