With a typed letter written in 1925. A particularly nice piece. Generally fine condition.

232-3251. Maryport and Carlisle Railway Company, Maryport. Combined Company Cheque and Receipt for the Cash Obtained, Drawn on the London Joint Stock Bank Limited, Maryport. Written 23rd May 1912, for the sum of Six Hundred and Twenty Five Pounds eight shillings and eight pence, for the purpose of paying employees weekly wages. Signed by the Company Secretary and the Company Chairman. 6" x 8.25". Engraved with Railway Company and Bank names, in pink on cream. Incorporating an embossed One Penny Revenue Stamp. The Cheque has been cashed and further signed over another One Penny stamp as received. Rubber stamped (faintly) as "Paid" and initialled. Excellent history. Fine condition.

With major dimensions and notes. An 8 wheel coach, all of these have corridor connections. Most important information and great history. This and those following are rubber stamped "B.R. L.M.R. C&W Drawing Office, Derby," and dated in 1950s. All are rolled and in generally very fine condition.

Bound in light brown cloth boards, gilt title on spine. 11.75" x 8.25". 816 pages illustrated by many photos and drawings. Without title page and annual index. The advertisement pages and covers have not been bound in but the magazine content is otherwise complete. This publication always gives space to modelling in the attractive 16mm to one foot scale. Very fine condition.

232-3277. Nassau Eletric Railroad Company. Certificate of One Hundred Shares of Common Capital Stock, of One Hundred Dollars each. Signed and impressed with the Company Seal but not issued. 8" x 15.75", 2 sides, including the counterfoil. Engraved in an ornate style in green and black on white quality paper by the "American Bank Note Company, New York." Incorporating a nice vignette showing two electric street cars with passengers and pedestrians. This was produced in the 1890s and although not issued it has been cancelled by holes punched in the signatures of the Company Secretary and President. Excellent. Very fine condition.
