A very good copy.

Written for Two Hundred and Thirty Four Pounds of Stock to Sir George Compton Archibald Arthur, of South Kensington, London. Issued in October 1942, signed by all required parties. 6" x 8.5", engraved in brown on water marked white quality paper in an ornate style. "Cancelled" by an impressed stamping and in ink. Very fine condition.

Complete with the payment Warrant still attached. 10.75" x 8". The Warrant being the Company Cheque drawn on the bank of Glyn, Mills & Co., Lombard Street, London. It is for the amount of 5 shillings & 5 pence and is rubber stamped "Retained". All in very fine condition.

231-2567. Westbourne Park Villas, Bayswater. Particulars of Sale of two desirable Leasehold Residences, in close proximity to the Westbourne Park and Royal Oak Railway Stations. Which will be sold by Auction by Messrs. Morris & Co., Bayswater, on 2nd June 1875. Auctioneers Announcement. 16.5" x 10.25", 4 sides. Giving Particulars and Conditions. Folding to 10.25" x 4". This came sometime from the G.W.R. Company archive; on it is written "Mr. Owen is of the opinion that we shall not want these houses. 25 May 1875". and is initialled. Clearly then the property did catch the attention of the railway executive. The item is quite grubby on the outside and is splitting at the folds.

First edition. 11.25" x 8.75", cloth boards in a very fine condition wrapper. 208 pages, with many photographs, a few in colour, and several drawings and maps, + a large folding map. Celebrating the Great Western's 150th Birthday. There are contributions by David St. John Thomas, O.S. Nock, G.F. Fiennes, Geoffrey Kitchenside, P.M. Kalla-Bishop, and B.K. Cooper. Very nice. Very fine condition.
