227-0155. Elie Station, Canada. Photographic Postcard. By Velox, Canada. Contemporary with the railway being constructed. 3.25" x 5.5". Showing the station house under construction, a two storey building which has not yet had the pitch roof tiled, and has men at work on a scaffolding. The railway is a single track with a siding, some other newly constructed houses can be seen in the background. The card has not been posted but it is written on the correspondence side: "This is a picture of Elie Station that George built, they have not started on the platform you will notice, that is the last chore. Rebeca." Important history, very scarce piece. Showing slight age grubbiness but will please.
