New Street, Birmingham." the card being issued for sale on Cunard liners on the North American service. 3.5" x 5.5". Showing a photographic view of the giant locomotive No. 6100 posed as newly built, right front view, with three small children standing close to one of the cylinders. Superb history. Unused. A slight crease on one corner, otherwise fine condition.

227-0108. Ditto but Southern Division. Time Table No. 72. For employees only, taking effect 28 September 1924. 12 pages. This includes the Manual Block System Rules for train working between White River Junction and Windsor. These are an excellent find.

Black titles. 3.5" x 5.5". The giant Pacific type engine is shown as new, on-train as a dead locomotive without tender and with connecting and coupling rods removed. This and that following are unused and in very fine condition.

227-0112. Chemins de Fer Algeriens de l'Etat. Stable Van. Shown with all doors open showing the interior. An un-named rolling stock manufacturers loose Publicity Plate, circa 1929. 7" x 11", with a full page photogravure side view of the 3'-6" gauge stock, all of which are four wheeled with fitted brake and screw couplings. This has accommodation for six horses and an attendant. These are excellent history, all have very slight foxing but are in very fine condition.

Official Locomotive Drawing and Specification Sheet, as held in The Company Archive, Rolling Stock Register. These are original printings. 20.5" x 15.25", showing a detailed external drawing of the locomotive in side and front elevations, to a scale of one-fiftieth. With dimensions, weights, and a lengthy list of principle specifications, company numbers, name of constructor and year. French text. Folded. These will delight in very fine condition.

227-0117. Series 'A' Coupe Lits. Engineers Working Drawings. Chemins de Fer de l'Est, Paris. Drawing date 1878, on 6 sheets 26" x 45", white on blue company print, to a scale of one tenth. Showing first class sleeping carriage, No. A49. Four wheel, 7.5 metre chassis length, with three separate compartments, the centre one being equipped with full folding beds and a water closet. The drawings are fully detailed and dimensioned giving all elevations and plan views, exterior and interior. A most interesting luxury carriage. Scarce, folded, generally fine condition.

These cards are not numbered. 3.5" x 5.5" A nice photographic series showing the engine in a working environment. This an 0-6-0 tank, with side guards over the running gear, as used for working along un-fenced track laid along the side of public roads. These are unused and in fine condition.

227-0129. Commencement of the Silloth Railway. Wood engraved Drawing. Picture size 5.75" x 9", on a page extracted from The Illustrated London News. 15th September 1855. 15.75" x 10.5". Showing a detailed perspective view of the ceremony at Drumburgh, within sight of the Solway Frith (sic); with Sir James Graham cutting the first turf. There are numerous spectators and a piece of the completed Port Carlisle Railway can be seen behind, with the top part of a locomotive engine which had hauled the train with the official party from Carlisle. The text article is included. Excellent history. Without folds and in very fine condition. We will send it rolled.

German and Danish text. High quality production with good illustrations. Publicity to the opening of the combined service by the two railways from Germany via Lubeck, Kobenhavn, Helsingoe, and Malmo, Halsingborg, to Oslo and Stockholm. The book introduction is by H.C. Peebolm, Bundesminister fur Verkehr, and this copy has a manuscript ink personal dedication from the German Minister of Works to C.E.R. Sherrington a leading authority on railway matters. Some fading to binding but content in fine condition.

This and those following are not dated but relate to the war period 1942 to 1944, they are original pieces, strictly related for the use of certain train working staff at the time of issue and required to be returned for destruction after use. Zu Buchfahrplan Heft 4a. 8.25" x 6", 7 pages, duplicator reproduced typescript. Giving timetables for 13 passenger trains between Kaldenkirchen and Kempen. Extremely scarce and in nearly new condition.
