Giving the individual numbers of new engines built, at Swindon and elsewhere; engines condemned, transfer of locomotives between regions, depot allocation changes, etcetera. Excellent history. On this one there is a change of name for a Castle Class locomotive. This and those following are in fine condition.

227-0092. The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Proposition for Membership. Form No. 18. 9" x 6", 2 sides. Written in 1909 for a locomotive engineer of two years experience on the D.L. and W. Railroad, and residing in the City of Seranton. It includes the names of three Proposing Brothers. A locomotive engineer is the American terminology for an engine driver. The form has a small vignette at its head showing a 4-4-0 locomotive and 8 wheel tender. A nice piece.

For Engine Works No. 1150, as specified by and constructed for the Caledonian Railway Company, by Sharp Stewart & Co. Limited, Atlas works, Glasgow. Drawing dated 21st September 1899. 26" x 24". Black ink on linen backed cartridge paper, in full size, with a detailed external front elevation view of both injectors, with their steam and water control valves. Showing major dimensions and brief constructional notes. These are the master drawings from which printed copies were made as needed. Most collectable unique pieces. Without damage and rolled.
