We welcome you to our February 2007 YesRail Catalogue. Each catalogue has a serial number and this and the item number should be given when ordering or making an inquiry. Telephoned orders may be made at any time, one of us is available to give personal attention on most days from 9-00 a.m. to 9-00 p.m. At all other times our answerphone will take your message. Alternatively you can contact us by E-mail, Fax or use the letter Post.

We produce eight different catalogues per year together with a January Sale issue, they will come out at six week intervals. We will as usual give a delightful mix of material in each catalogue and back this up with the excellent customer service you would want and expect. Goods will be carefully packaged and dispatched within seven working days of receiving your order.

Be sure to check our Terms of Business before making an order. Postage of up to GBP. 2-00 is inclusive in any order from our catalogues that comes to a total of GBP. 25-00 or more for goods after any discount that may be due, otherwise and beyond this postage is at cost.

George Allen and Unwin Ltd, London. 1967. 1st edition. 10" x 7.5", cloth boards in a very frayed wrapper. 68 pages illustrated by a map and gradient diagrams + 2 colour plates from original paintings by Hamilton Ellis + 60 pages with 128 photos. An informative history and description of the railways, rolling stock and traffic. Nice book. Ottley 9899. Very fine condition.

Technical papers by the Allgemeine Elektricitats Gesellschaft, Engineers, Scientists, and Heads of Departments; for circulation among selected employees of the group. An archive set, bound in original blue cloth boards, gilt title on spine. 11.5" x 8.5", 12 pages title and index + 514 pages illustrated by very many photos and drawings, all on art paper. German text. Well illustrated and very detailed papers on current work in hand and contemporary design and practice within the company. A small mouse chew at the bottom corner of front board but the content is in very fine condition.

227-0007. The Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway System, Time Tables. Corrected to 1st February 1931. Official. 9.25" x 7.75", 64 pages, including cover, of full Public Time Tables and information, including 8 pages of system diagrams with stations named. This, the only line under one management, all the way from Chicago and Kansas City to California and Arizona. Some pencil marking in a few places.

An anthology of amusing and most readable anecdotes regarding railways in all aspects. Seldom now found on offer. Ottley 7680. Slight foxing particularly on inside covers.

227-0010. BAKER, Michael H.C. The Southern Electric Story. A personal celebration of 'the world's largest main line electric railway'. Silver Link Publishing Ltd., Kettering. 1993. First edition in "The Nostalgia Collection". 11.25" x 8.5", cloth boards in a very fine condition wrapper. 128 pages illustrated by many photos in text and a couple of diagram maps. A good and informative account. As new condition.

227-0011. Baltimore and Annapolis Short Line Railroad Company. First Mortgage Forty Year Gold Bond Certificate for One Thousand Dollars. Issued in 1906, signed by all required parties and impressed with the Company Seal. 14.75" x 10", engraved in brown and black on white quality paper in an ornate style, by the "Franklin-Lee Bank Note Company, New York". Incorporating a vignette showing two mythological female figures with a background on the right of a city with electric streetcars, and on the left a docks with ship and railway train. Appended is one three-quarter sheet of engraved bi-annual Interest Coupons running through to 1946. All has been cancelled in 1930 by a neat series of punched holes. Nice in fine condition.

227-0012. The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company. Certificate of One Hundred Shares of Preferred Stock, at a Par value of One Hundred Dollars each. Issued in 1955, fully signed by all required parties. 7.5" x 11.5", green on white, engraved in an ornate style on quality paper, by the "International Bank Note Co., New York." Incorporating an attractive vignette showing a very early passenger train hauled by a four wheeled vertical boiler locomotive engine with an open truck loaded with wooden barrels, which I presume were to hold water for the boiler: followed by a closed double decked carriage and an open carriage, both of which derive from horse drawn vehicles before adaptation to the railway. The certificate has been "Cancelled in 1958" by rubber stamping and three holes punched in signature. An impressive piece that is suited for mounting in a glazed frame for display. Very fine condition.

227-0013. Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. Passenger Diesel, class DP-2 & DP-2x, and Simple Mallett, class EL-5a. Official Company Publicity. Issued circa 1940s. 11" x 17", art paper illustrated on both sides with photos and detailed scale drawings showing the locomotives in side, front and rear elevations, and plan views; with major dimensions, brief specifications and company running numbers. The drawings are in full size for HS scale with the B & O logo and company slogan shown on both sides, These were only available to railroad modellers who actually intended to make a model of the type in question; they had to make a personal application to the company to obtain them, they were not available to collectors of the company paperwork. Nice items. Rolled. Fine condition.

(1980). 10.75" x 8.5", 2 sides, with 3 photos, a drawing, a street plan and a diagram. Construction is underway with a projected opening in late 1982. Folds to 3.75" x 8.5". Near mint condition.

227-0053. "Ten Wheeled Banking Engine." Locomotive Diagram. 9" x 19.5". Print. Showing an 0-8-2 tank engine in semi-detailed left side elevation, with major dimensions. No other information is given but it is shown as "Fig. 41." "Plate 11." and would seem to be an enlarged copy taken from a publication, possibly The Locomotive Magazine. This item is rubber stamped "Works Managers Office, British Transport Commission, L.M.R. Horwich. 11 Sep. 1962." One can only conjecture why this piece was of interest to the Horwich Works people. Folded. Fine condition.
